Homes for Sale in Winston Salem NC - Buyers Get Off The Fence!

Homes for Sale in Winston Salem, NC - Buyers Get Off The Fence!

Now is the time to buy a home in the Winston Salem, NC area and surrounding communities!   Okay, I'm preaching to the choir.  But look at it from this point.  What can you purchase now with a $5,000 or $10,000 down payment that would grow as much as any other investment?    A car, an Airplane,

a boat, a camper, Stocks?   I don't think so, Ethel.  Homes for sale in Winston Salem have been prepped, primed and painted! Beautifully staged and are looking great! ...all just for your visit!  ...as Buyers!

Look at it this way.  If you put $10,000 down on a $175,000 home for sale in Winston Salem and that home's value increases to $195,000 after a couple of years, you will have an equity position of $30,000! That's a 33% increase in your investment.  Doing this in the Winston Salem and greater Triad region where prices are pretty much holding their own during the country's economic slump, you've made a great investment!  And that's just the start. Look at the growth possibilities when the expected "upswing" occurs in the economy!  Homes for sale in Winston Salem have never looked so inviting!

If you're one of those folks that are "Sitting on the Fence", now is your time to take that leap.  I read somewhere recently that even in our current economic status, Americans have a total equity position in their homes exceeding Eight TRILLION Dollars...That was not with a "B" but with a "T"...Trillion!

New Home Construction is a great place to start looking too.  If you're selling the home you're living in now, and your equity position is down $10 or 15$ thousand, keep in mind that new home construction is also going to be down by that amount or more.   But look what you get...a New Home with lots of new appliances, new heating and air conditioning systems and efficient water heaters.  In many of these new developments, there are new club houses with new swimming pools and other new recreational facilities...maybe even a new gym!  Something to consider when looking for a home for sale in the Winston Salem area.

Other consideration are the tax advantages of purchasing rental property as an investment.  There are alot of bargains out there and what a better way to have a "Tax Shelter".  The year end pleasure of deducting all those mortgage payments, American Homeshield Home Warranties (about $42.00 monthly), association dues, and any other expense, staight off the top of your annual income taxes.   Using American Homeshield for repairmen is such an easy fix.  Just call them and they send over a trusted, bonded electrician, plumber, or heating and air repairman and the repair costs are simply the $60 service call on covered items.  Works like a charm.  The tenant appreciates it as well.  Looking for a rental home for sale in the Winston Salem area that is in a Homeowners Association that provides exterior upkeep, will make owning a rental investment alot easier as well.  If you have any questions about investing in rental properties, please email me at dpatterson1@triad.rr.com.

Great post  Doug!

I try to get my customers to hear what you are saying here, but it seems that lots of people love the view from the top of the fence! LOL.

Not to mention the $8000 first time buyer credit that I really stress in conversations!

Best of luck,
